WHO IS THIS FOR:
GCSE Business Studies Tuition
Our one-to-one GCSE Business tuition is available across all major examination boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC/Eduqas. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s specification, current level and areas for development.
Understanding How Businesses Work
GCSE Business brings together a wide range of ideas, from how a business is created and financed to the decisions it makes as it grows.
Our tutors support students with areas including business ownership and operations, revenue, costs and profit, cash flow and finance, marketing and market research, recruitment and motivation, and the ways in which businesses respond to competitors, customers and changing economic conditions.
Students also explore the external influences that shape business decisions, including legislation, technology, economic change, ethics and the wider business environment.
Moving Beyond Learning the Content
Success in Business is not simply about remembering definitions. Students need to apply their knowledge to a particular business, interpret information and explain how different decisions could affect its performance.
Our tutors help students make these connections. They learn how to use the information in a case study effectively, develop chains of reasoning and support their conclusions with relevant business knowledge rather than producing generic answers.
Building Stronger Examination Responses
Different Business questions require different approaches. A short calculation, an explanation and a longer evaluative response cannot all be answered in the same way.
Our tutors work closely on examination technique, modelling strong analytical responses and showing students how to develop an argument, weigh up different factors and reach a justified conclusion.
Where useful, previous mock papers and school assessments can also be reviewed to identify patterns in lost marks and focus tuition on the areas most likely to improve performance.
Every GCSE Business session is one-to-one, giving students the individual attention needed to strengthen both their subject knowledge and the way they communicate it in the examination.
