Why Ashcroft
Subject expertise, with the encouragement students need
Tutors who mark the real exam papers
Many of our tutors are GCSE examiners. They mark the actual papers, so they understand what earns marks, where students lose them and how to explain an answer clearly. Every tutor is also a qualified teacher working in full-time education.
Carefully matched
Every match is overseen personally, looking at personality and learning style as well as subject.
A report after every lesson
See what was covered, how your child is progressing and what comes next.
Confidence first
We meet students where they are, whether they need to catch up, aim higher or rebuild belief.
Finding the missing building blocks
We work backwards to the point understanding became shaky, then secure it.
Live online lessons
Interactive one-to-one sessions on a shared whiteboard, from home.

Our goal
From wherever they are now, to ready for what's next
Where children start
Some have fallen a bit behind. Some have lost their confidence. Some are out of school or home educated. Some are doing well and want to aim higher. Wherever your child is starting from, that's fine. It's our starting point too.
Where we want them to go
We want them to leave us confident and ready for the next stage, whether that's secondary school, sixth form, college, an apprenticeship, university or their first job.
How it works
Three simple steps
- 01
Book a free discovery call and tell us about your child.
- 02
We match them with the right tutor, carefully and personally.
- 03
Lessons happen online from home, and you get a report after every one.
From a parent
"T had been out of school for most of the year and wouldn't engage with any learning. Sarah was incredibly patient and calm. She never pushed, just supported T at their pace. Little by little, T started opening up and even working through Maths again. We didn't think that was possible. Sarah made it happen."

We provide specialist one-to-one tuition, online only, for students aged 8 to 18 in England and around the world, in English, Maths, Science and the humanities, from KS2 through to A-Level.
What are your three main services?
After-school tuition for children in school who want to catch up or get ahead, daytime homeschooling support for home-educated children, and flexi-schooling for academy footballers and young athletes who miss school for their sport.
Do you teach during the school day for home-educated children?
Yes. Daytime lessons are a big part of what we do. You can choose one or two subjects or build a fuller weekly timetable.
What is flexi-schooling and who is it for?
Flexi-schooling is when a child learns partly in school and partly elsewhere. Ours is for young athletes, such as academy footballers, who need to keep up with schoolwork while they train and compete.
Can you support academy footballers and young athletes who miss school?
Yes. We plan lessons around training and fixtures and focus on the work they've missed. Lessons are online, so they can join from home, a hotel or a training camp.
